The?Albari?o Explorers Club recently conducted a search for a?charismatic wine/food blogger that has a strong knowledge of wine to be the R?as Baixas?Albari?o wine?ambassador for the United States; yours truly has submitted her application. The winner will be announced on November 19, 2012. Part of the application process was to create a 3-5 minute video showing why you?d be the best choice for the Albari?o Explorers Club Ambassador position, a key part was to have?fun with it and show you had personality.

The winner will be sent on an all-expense paid trip to the coastal region of R?as Baixas, Spain to learn more about Albari?o wines and the area producing this vibrant white wine. Once back on US soil, the duties of the Ambassadorship begin,?traveling throughout the United States during 2013 planning wine tastings, spreading the luv for Albarino via social media, and speaking to consumers and wine professionals?knowledgeably?and enthusiastically about?Albari?o from?R?as Baixas.

Without question, my video captures charisma, fun, personality and enthusiasm. Much effort and thought went into the production of this video application and it?s as enjoyable as it is because of the team I surrounded myself with to pull it off; @ViceQueenMaria behind the camera, @4theloveoffood and Joan Nova a.k.a. Foodalogue.com as my ?ladies who lunch? and 50 Ocean in Delray Beach for the use of their stellar ocean front location, [simulating that of R?as Baixas], and for the spot-on food pairings prepared by Executive Chef, Blake Malatesta. The theme of my video is ?ladies who lunch?. This premise is not far from the truth of what I do with my girlfriends on a regular basis, so doing what comes natural was the obvious answer for this application, just with the addition of a video camera and getting it all on tape.
